Money is the equivalent of power or energy. With it, you can do things with your life. As a parental unit I have been (rightly) criticized for thinking too much about Money. In defense, I would argue that after Relationships, Money is the next most important thing in order to effectively manage and be a good steward of life. To that end, I have decided to post a few points that I think might be helpful for my gentle reader.

• Honestly, the best side hustle I’ve found is replacing mesh on insect / solar screens. Network with roofers. Insurance pays to have these replaced. Cost of tools / materials is less than $100. I’ve made over 1k a weekend, more than once because of this. It will soon be my main hustle. Basically, you remove the screens from the home, replace the mesh, reinstall them and collect a check. There are plenty of YouTube videos showing what tools are needed and how to do it. I don’t deal directly with the insurance company. I subcontract for roofers who do all the leg work to get the customers and negotiate with the insurance companies. I am payed by the roofers. No licensure required where I am. You don’t have to be insured to do it. Anything you break you can fix. But if you’d rather be safe, I was quoted a premium of $750 a year. So it minimal. I am operating as a sole proprietorship with a DBA. I chose this over an LLC because the taxation is much better. Additionally, LLC formation is $300 where I live and DBA was $25. I don’t work with or around things that justify the cost of insurance or an LLC. Roofers often leave signs in the yards of houses that they have worked on. I would take pictures of them as I drove around and call them. Worst case they say no. Best case they say yes. This landed me a roofing company that has done over 40 million in sales this year. Additionally, just google local roofing companies. Make the calls.
